Meet Mike
Mike Bader is the founder of Würst Day Sausage Co., a Cincinnati-based sausage company turning familiar comfort foods into chef-crafted sausages.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Mike developed a love for cooking at an early age. After earning a degree in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder, he returned home to pursue what he had always wanted to do—build a career in food.
Mike began his culinary career working with acclaimed Cincinnati chef Jose Salazar, gaining experience across his award-winning restaurants and developing the skills and creativity that would shape his approach to cooking. He later joined Redden Fine Meats & Seafood in Madeira, where he dove deeper into butchery and sausage making.
It was there that an idea began to take shape: What if a sausage could taste like your favorite comfort food?
That idea became Würst Day.
Inspired by the food Mike grew up with and his years in professional kitchens, Würst Day was built around the idea that great food should be fun, familiar, and meant to be shared.
The result is a lineup of chef-driven, comfort food-inspired sausages featuring flavors like Chicken Parmesan, Philly Cheesesteak, and Loaded Baked Potato. They’re familiar flavors in an unexpected form, made for weeknight dinners, backyard cookouts, tailgates, and any excuse to get people around the table.
For Mike, Würst Day is more than a sausage company. It’s the realization of a lifelong goal to build a food brand of his own, rooted in the city, food, and experiences that shaped him.
Because even the Würst Day can be made better with good food.
