Privacy

Short version: the only thing this website collects is your email address, and only if you type it into the signup box yourself. We use it to send you the newsletter. We don't sell it, we don't share it with anyone outside the services that deliver the email, and you can leave at any time.

What we collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect the email address you enter, along with the date and the IP address the signup came from. The IP address is recorded by our email provider as proof that the subscription was genuine — it isn't used to identify you or to track you around the internet.

That's the whole list. We don't ask for your name, we don't have accounts, and there's nothing else on this site that collects anything.

What we do with it

We email you about Würst Day Sausage Co. — new products, where to find us, and the occasional pop-up. Nothing else. We don't sell, rent or trade your address, and we don't send anyone else's marketing to you.

Confirming your subscription

When you sign up, we send a confirmation email and wait for you to click the link in it. Until you do, you're not subscribed and you won't hear from us. This means nobody can sign you up using your address without your knowing.

Leaving

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list. You can also email us and we'll remove you, along with everything we hold about you.

Who else touches your data

Both are bound to use the data only to provide those services. Nobody else receives it.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It carries no advertising, and nothing on it follows you to other websites.

We do count how many people visit, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records page views and how quickly pages load. It uses no cookies, saves nothing on your device, and doesn't fingerprint your browser or work out who you are — it counts visits, not visitors. There's no consent banner because there's nothing here to consent to.

Links to other places

Our Instagram link and the shop addresses on the Find Us board lead to other companies' websites — Instagram and Google Maps. Once you're there, their privacy policies apply, not ours.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has subscribed, email us and we'll delete the address.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email the address below and we'll do it — there's no form to fill in and no charge. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we'll honour those requests the same way.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you're on the list, we'll tell you by email.
